Is ISDN for you?
In order for you to obtain ISDN services, you first need to see if your phone company offers ISDN lines in your area. If they do, then you'll need to have the line installed, which will require you to pay a line installation fee.  An ISDN line is like a digital phone line, and as such monthly line charges and usage charges will likely apply as well.

You'll also need to have an ISDN "modem" or router.  Prices for such devices to hook your computer up to an ISDN line start as low as $150 and can range up to much higher prices for the brand and model you choose.  We support the 3COM OfficeConnect LAN Modem directly, but any other one will do - if you can configure it using the information we have available.

ISDN is a great solution for those who need higher bandwidth than what a modem can offer, or low-cost dedicated access solutions (as compared to what you might pay for a T1 or T3 line).  If the costs of ISDN service are within your budget, then ISDN may be right for you or your business.
